Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah said on Saturday that any effort aimed at dividing Pakistan People's Party would fail. "This is nothing new. Certain elements have been trying since long and have failed," he said while talking to newsmen here after inspecting the Ghulam Muhammad Mahar Medical College.
"Makhdoom Amin Fahim, senior vice chairman of the party, has also denied such reports," he said and also referred to his meeting with Makhdoom Jamil-uz-Zaman, a provincial minister and elder son of Makhdoom Amin Fahim.
To a question, chief minister said that he had never claimed to contain price-hike, however, added that recent measures taken by the government has improved the price situation. "Once the wheat flour price is controlled, the rates of rice and other commodities would also show downward trend," he said, adding that the price of wheat per bag (100 kg) has come down by Rs 250 in a day.
Syed Qaim Ali Shah said on this occasion that SNE of the college has been approved and it would not suffer from shortage of teaching and non-teaching staff in future. On this occasion, Federal Minister Syed Khurshed Ahmed Shah, provincial Health Minister Dr Saghir Ahmed and secretary health were also present.
