The Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT) has arranged a concluding ceremony of its 13th student voluntary programme on Saturday. On the occasion, Dr Adib-ul-Hasan Rizvi awarded certificates to the students, on the completion of 30 hours voluntary service.
He appreciated the voluntary programme. "This is a legacy which the students will perhaps cherish all their life". The SIUT has arranged the voluntary programme, as a regular basis is focussed to engender spirit of volunteerism among students and on how to tend and help hospitalised patients.
The students help the staff as well as patients at the OPD departments. Specially, for pediatric wards students play and entertain the children. The students also help clean the hospital during the voluntary programme.
