A 10-member Bangladeshi teachers' delegation visited the International Islamic University (IIU) here on Monday. The delegation was led by Professor Shahnaz Yasmeen, University of Rajshahi, says a statement issued here. President IIU, Dr Anwar Hussain Siddiqui and Vice President of the University, Dr Khalifa Hassan briefed the delegation about the 28 years of the academic progress of the university.
They said that the university was established to cope with modern day challenges by providing both traditional as well as contemporary education in all fields. The delegation appreciated the IIU's progress and thanked the university administration for providing scholarships to students from Bangladesh.
The visiting delegates were Muhammed Anower Hossain Mizi from University of Chittagong, Sharif Ahmed Chaudhry, Bangladesh Institute of Peace and Security Studies, Taslima Rahmen Mishu, Principle of Management, Southeast University, S M Ali Reza from University of Dhaka, Iftekharul Bashar, Bangladesh Institute of Law and International Affairs, Ahasan Habib Imrose, Principle, Light House Laboratory School and College, Tangail, Dr M Jashim Uddin, Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies, Abdullah Al-Mamun, Japan Study Center, Dhaka University and Josinta Zinia, Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology.
