'Suicide blast of no service to Islam': Prime Minister visits injured persons at Pims
Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani said here on Monday that the Melody suicide blast served no purpose of Islam or humanity. He said this while talking to reporters after paying a visit to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) where he met the injured persons of Sunday's suicide blast.
He said that every effort was being made to wipe out terrorism and lawlessness from the country, and the government would leave no stone unturned to attain this noble cause. He said that an inquiry has already been ordered regarding this incident and added that the perpetrators of such heinous crime would not escape the law. He said those involved in this heinous crime would not be spared.
He added that those who would unmask the masterminds of the blast would be rewarded. Gilani praised Punjab and Islamabad police Jawans for their devotion to duty and providing security to the participants of Lal Masjid 'shuhada' conference. He paid tributes to slain policemen and said that they protected others at the cost of their own lives. He directed the hospital officials to provide best possible medical care and ensure provision of medicines to the injured.
