First Cyclotron installed at SKMCH

First Cyclotron in Pakistan has been placed in the bunker at the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital (SKMCH) in Lahore. The Cyclotron and PET SCAN is the most modern diagnostic tool in the management of cancer in Pakistan because of its ability to detect cancer at much earlier stage as compared to the conventional equipment like CT and MRI Scans.
A hospital spokesman said the presence of this latest machine at this hospital would improve and help cancer treatment. "The installation of this expensive and latest equipment is an ample proof that the SKMCH is striving to provide state-of-the art diagnostic and treatment facilities in the field of oncology as per its mission," he added.
