Mobilink has launched 'Mobilink Genie', a futuristic service of privileges and convenience, heralding the onset of mobile commerce in Pakistan. This service has been introduced with the collaboration of Inov8, CitiBank, KASB, Atlas Bank and Adamjee Insurance.
Bilal Munir Sheiks, Vice President, Marketing, Mobilink, said that 'Mobilink Genie' is a mobile payment solution enabling customers to use their mobile phones to buy a combination of products of their choice and pay for a mix of utility and general services.
He said that this services is being introduced first time globally, as at present no country in the region is providing such type of service and it has been hailed as a new and innovative chapter in the telecommunication sector of Pakistan.
'Mobilink Genie', a pioneering effort in mobile commerce by the company in collaboration with prominent financial institutions in Pakistan, is going to be an exhilarating customer experience that will further reshape the lives of people in their day-to-day lives, he added.
He said that 'Mobilink Genie' includes instant service on all GPRS/Java supporting hand-held devices covering payment of utility bills including electricity, gas, telephone; payment of Indigo bill & load or recharge any Jazz account.

He said that everything from multiple bill/utility payments, credit card, mobile bill and insurance premium payments, prepaid airtime top-up, selling of new micro insurance products and a number of other services are available from Mobilink phone, anytime and anywhere. On the occasion Naeem Siddiqui Cards Business Head, CitiBank, Muneer Kamal President & CEO KASB, Ghufran Atta Khan Head of Retail & Consumer Banking, Atlas Bank and Yahya Hamid, CIO & Head of Product Development, Adamjee Insurance also addressed.
