The Administration Committee of the Lahore High Court, headed by Justice Sayed Zahid Hussain, has ordered disciplinary action against Multan's District and Sessions Civil Judge 1st Class Muhammad Arif, Rahim Yar Khan, Khalid Mehmood Warriach, Civil Judge-cum-Judicial Magistrate, Taxila, Raza Ullah Khan, Civil Judge-cum-Judicial Magistrate, Multan, Alam Sher.
The committee ordered to drop proceedings against Additional District and Sessions Judge Kharian now at Gujjar Khan Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Additional District and Sessions Judge, Bhalwal Abdul Majid, Civil Judge-cum-Judicial Magistrate, Jhang Malik Ghulam Mustafa Awan, Civil Judge-cum-Judicial Magistrate, Bhalwal Mr.Husnain Azhar Shah Hafiz.
The committee also upgraded the post of civil judge-cum-judicial magistrate from BS-17 to BS-18 on successful completion of probation period in terms of rule 8 of the Punjab Judicial Service Rules, 1994. The Civil Judges-cum-Judicial Magistrates who have recently successfully completed the probation period will also be entitled to the same benefit with immediate effect.
Justice Tariq Shamim has been told to give personal re-hearing to Civil Judge 1st Class, Taxila Jahangir Wains. Additional District and Sessions Judge, Bahawalpur Muzaffar Ali Khan has been warned to remain careful in future.
Explanation of Additional District and Sessions Judge, Chishtian now at Rawalpindi Muhammad Masroor Zaman, has been called for making direct correspondence with the Court.
Gujrat's District and Sessions Judge, Mahmood Maqbool Bajwa, has been appointed as inquiry officer in an inquiry against Senior Civil Judge/OSD, Lahore High Court, Lahore Hamid Pervaiz Khan.
A sub-committee made up of Justice Muhammad Khalid Alvi and Justice Mazhar Hussain Minhas has been constituted to make its recommendations in the matter of up-gradation of certain posts of the establishment of this court. Determination of Seniority of the former Caretakers, now inducted into the cadre of Assistants. Representation of Personal Assistants for promotion to the post of Private Secretaries on Seniority-cum-Fitness basis.
