Ministry of Religious Affairs will announce Haj policy for the year 2008-09 on July 17, official in the ministry said. The official said that three-member bench of Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice Abdul Hamid Dogar will hear the case of grant of quota to private tour operators on July 14 and likely to announce the decision on the same day.
After the decision of Supreme Court, a detailed briefing will be given to Advisor to Prime Minister on Religious Affairs Hamid Sayed Kazami on the very next day. The ministry will present the Haj policy for approval of cabinet on July 16 and announce it on the following day ie July 17.
