Where is the writ of the government? If its ministry of the petroleum and natural resources cannot fix gas prices correctly when what else we can expect? Even after the recent fixing of the CNG prices they cannot make sure their proper implementation. In this scenario it seems all of us are helpless totally. That's why people are asking each other does any government exist?
Another joke is that the foreign minister, who has his own responsibilities, is nowadays taking care of the petroleum ministry. He was assigned this additional responsibility when one of the PML (N) minister resigned due to the judges' restoration issue. Is this not the Prime Minister's responsibility to look into this serious matter because as foreign minister he remains most of the time out of the country and he could not spare time to see the pricing process.
That's why he overlooked misleading calculations presented to him for the new CNG prices. Because of these new prices confusion and chaos are there among dealers as well as general public.
I do hope that the foreign minister will constitute one investigation team to check this misleading statement given to him by one of the ministry's official. To clear the position and end this controversy the Prime Minister should also call for a high level probe into this mismanagement which created bad for the present government.
