The Lahore Chamber Achievement Award-2008 function will be held on July 14 since all arrangements for this business gathering has been finalised. The award has attracted the international media and all top personalities of the country and business tycoons are expected to take part. The awards starting in 2005 aim at encouraging those businessmen contributing to the national exchequer.
The sectors for which applications for the fourth awards received so far included telecommunications, leather, textiles, information technology, paper industry, housing, engineering, rice, steal, plastic and gem and jewellery, rubber, services, glass, printing, social welfare, sugar, retails, home appliances, food stuffs, foam, construction, carpet, pharmaceutical, chemicals, canvas and tents, fabrication and auto sector.
The LCCI has received a tremendous response for Achievement Awards 2008. Almost all the big entities operational in the jurisdiction of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry had submitted their applications for winning the award.
