The Karachi Port handled 84,614 tonnes of cargo including 41,737 tonnes of import, 42,877 tonnes of export cargo and 2,249 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Saturday.
The cargoes comprised of 64,164 tonnes of dry cargo including 25,819 tonnes of general cargo; 13,500 tonnes of coal; 6,089 tonnes of rock phosphate; 6,156 tonnes of cement; 12,600 tonnes of clinker and 20,450 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. Five ships namely Mol Affinity, Kota Ekspres, Thor Swan, Nicolaos-A and Bulk Arrow sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Three vessels viz Hanjin Chittagong, Industrial Diamond and Sinar Agra are currently at the berths. Two ships namely Hanjin Chittagong and Beluga Fusion expected to sail on Saturday while another four vessels viz Sinar Agra, Royal Falcon, Selendang Permata and Jakarta Express are expected to sail on Sunday.
Seven vessels viz Napa, Chemroad Fuji, Bengal Orchid, King Brian, Ltc Calvin P. Titus, Apl Alexandrite and Beluga Fusion due to arrive on Saturday while six ships namely Itha Bhum, Oel Transworld, Oel Trust, Global Progress, Ioannis K and Chi Feng Kou are due to arrive on Sunday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 85,180 tonnes including 69,592 tonnes of import, 15,588 tonnes of export cargo and 2,025 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours on Saturday.
The cargo comprised of 43,032 tonnes of diesel oil; 2,000 tonnes of palm oil; 2,212 tonnes of rock phosphate; 2,883 tonnes of coal; 6,831 tonnes of iron ore; 1,744 tonnes of steel billet and 26,478 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Four vessels viz MT Golden Nori, MT Smooth Hounds, CV CMA CGM America and CV Maersk Novazzano sailed out to sea during last 24 hours while two more ships namely CV Apl Alexandrite and MT M3 Suzanne are expected to sail on Saturday.
A total of four ships namely MSC Rose-M, Sea Lion, Madonna and Bunga Melati Dua carrying containers, diesel oil, coal and palm oil respectively are currently at the outer anchorage.
Eight vessels viz CV Maersk Novazzano, CV Apl Alexandrite, MV Sirios, MV Navision Bulker, MT Golden Nori, MT Smooth Hounds, MT M3 Suzanne and MV Kaghan are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, rock Phosphate, coal, steel billet, palm oil, diesel oil and iron ore respectively during the report period.
Three ships namely CV MSC Rosa-M, MT Bunga Melati Doa and MV Madonna carrying containers, palm oil and coal are expected to take berths at Qasim International Container Terminal and MW 1 and MW 4 respectively on Saturday. Two vessels viz MT Sinar Agra and MVLeo Princess due to arrive on Saturday while another five ships namely CV MSC Himalaya, CV Sima Pars, MT Golden Express, MV QSM Dubai and MV Santa Fe are due to arrive on Sunday.
