The Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF) has given a cheque of Rs 50,000 and a commendation certificate to professor and former Punjab University Institute of Engineering and Technology director Dr Ijaz Hussain Khan for his research work and successful completion of a project on gas transmission pipeline.
Dr Khan said the credit for the successful completion of this project went to PU. He also said this was a joint project of PU, HEC (Higher Education Commission), PSF and SSGC (Sui Southern Gas Company) Karachi, which provided technical assistance for this project.
This project will also provide valuable guidelines for upcoming ventures in this field. If this project was done by some foreign firm through tender this would have cost four-time extra expenditures. This is the first project of its kind, which is done by Pakistani experts and engineers."
