The Karachi Port handled 131,771 tonnes of cargo including 90,022 tonnes of import, 41,749 tonnes of export cargo and 3,523 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Tuesday.
The cargoes comprised of 85,032 tonnes of dry cargo including 50,737 tonnes of general cargo; 17,000 tonnes of coal; 4,546 tonnes of rock phosphate; 4,315 tonnes of cement; 8,434 tonnes of clinker and 46,739 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. Four ships namely Global Progress, Ocean Beauty, Chemroad Fuji and Napa sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Five vessels viz Harmony, Mol Admiration, Chi Feng Kou, Bengal Orchid and Quasar are currently at the berths. Three ships namely Super Star-III, Bengal Orchid and Ioannix-K expected to sail on Tuesday while another two vessels viz Far Singapore and Quasar are expected to sail on Wednesday.
Eight vessels viz Far Singapore, Apl Cairo, Manora Naree, Fu Ning Hai, Lucky Arrow, BBC Spain, Laftah and Bruce Park due to arrive on Tuesday while another six ships namely Hyundai Admiral, Annae, Apl Pusan, Grigorpan, Niam Pearl and Shaheen Al-Ghanim 10 are due to arrive on Wednesday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 59,176 tonnes including 47,227 tonnes of import, 11,952 tonnes of export cargoes and 2,478 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours on Tuesday.
The cargoes comprised of 3,270 tonnes of rock phosphate; 2,889 tonnes of chemicals; 15,176 tonnes of coal; 3,662 tonnes of steel billet and 34,172 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Four vessels viz Sinar Agra, MT Bunga Melati Dua and MT Sea Lion sailed out to sea during last 24 hours while another ship namely Golden Express is expected to sail on Tuesday. A total of seven ships namely ACX Marguerite, Maersk Denpasar, Olympic Serenity, Asia Star, Tain Jin, Santa Fe and Leo Princess carrying containers, furnace oil, palm oil, project cargo and cement respectively are currently at the outer anchorage.
Six vessels viz CV Maersk Carolina, MV Sirios, MV Navision Bulker, MV Madonna-III, MT Golden Express and MV Kaghan are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, rock phosphate, coal, steel billet, chemicals and iron ore respectively during the report period.
Three ships namely CV Maersk Denpasar, MT Olympic Serenity and MT Asia Star carrying containers, palm oil and coal are expected to take berths at Qasim International Container Terminal, Fotco Terminal and MW-1 respectively on Tuesday.
Two vessels viz MV Leonis and MV Monique-II to load cement and rice due to arrive on Tuesday while another two ships namely MT Al-Salam-II and MT Oriental Marguerite with furnace oil and chemicals are due to arrive on Wednesday. Seven ships namely CMA CGM Nilgai, CMA CGM Puget, Abbound G, Leonis, Al-Soor-II, Golden Accord, World Dynasty and Merbabu carrying containers, cement, diesel oil, palm oil, crude oil and rice are due to arrive.
