Regional Police Officer (RPO), Rawalpindi, has approved the transfers and postings of 68 police officials of the region, and issued the order of the inter-district transfers, besides reinstating some officials after hearing their appeals.
Rawalpindi RPO Nasir Khan Durrani on Wednesday issued the circular to the City Police Officer, Rawalpindi, and District Police Officers of Jhelum, Attock and Chakwal regarding the inter-district transfers and posting of police officials. Durrani asked the district police chiefs that if any police officer of the region had any personal or official problem at the place of his posting, he should submit application and appear before him on every Tuesday.
Many officers appeared before Nasir Khan Durrani, and requested for transfer to their station of choice. On their request, the RPO issued the final order of posting and transfers.
As per this order, two Inspectors, 25 Sub-Inspectors, 39 Assistant Sub-Inspectors and three constables have been transferred to their place of choice. The RPO also accepted three appeals of constables and reinstated them. They are constable Tuqeer of Jhelum district and constable Saifullah of Attock district. He also promoted constable Shaukat Hayat of Chakwal district to the rank of head constable, who was reverted by Chakwal DPO following escape of an accused from the police custody.
