Lawyers observed a complete boycott of courts here on Thursday and vowed to continue their struggle until they achieved their goals. President High Court Bar, Mehmood Ashraf Khan said that the lawyers still have a long way to go, but are determined to achieve their goals. Lawyers shouted slogans against the government and wore black armbands during their boycott.
Later a meeting was held at the High Court Bar where it's representatives as well as those of the District Court Bar and other were briefed on preparations for the upcoming visit of deposed Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry on the 25th.
The bar representatives formed committees in Shujabad, Jalalpur Pirwala, Lodhran and Bahawalpur To make the necessary preparations for the visit. The President District Bar, Najaf Chawan, Secretary General High Court Bar, Rana Naveed and others were also present on this occasion.
