The Government of Pakistan has promoted Air Vice Marshal Muhammad Yousaf to the rank of Air Marshal. Air Marshal Muhammad Yousaf was commissioned in Pakistan Air Force on June 1, 1975 in flying branch. He is a graduate of Flying Instructors School, Combat Commanders' School, PAF Air War College and National Defence University, Islamabad.
During his career he has commanded a Fighter Squadron, a Fighter Wing, an Operational Air Base and a Regional Air Command. He has also been Chief Project Director F-16s Project and Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Admin) at Air Headquarters and Director General Logistics at Joint Staff Headquarters. He also served in Abu Dhabi Air Force on deputation. Currently, he is performing duties as Deputy Chief of the Air Staff (Support) at Air Headquarters, Islamabad. He is recipient of Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military), Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military) and Tamgha-i-Basalat. -PR
