Shafiqabad Police have busted a criminal gang involved in street crimes arrested five of its members and seized cash, mobile phones and weapons from them. The arrested persons made a confession to the police admitted their involvement in 14 such cases, police official told Business Recorder.
A special team constituted by the DIG Investigation, Mushtaq Ahmed Sukhaira headed by the SPO Shafiqabad on a tip-off arrested the criminals. These criminals used to live in rented houses in different localities of the city and committed crime at night on motorcycles. They used to snatch valuables from the passers by at gunpoint. The official also claimed tracing out more than nine cases against them.
