As many as 24 Wapda (Water and Power Development Authority) employees, including an Xen/Deputy Director and other technical field staff, have been served final show cause notices for dismissal from service, under the Removal from Service Ordinance, on charges of misconduct and wilful absence from duty.
Wapda sources told newsmen here on Thursday that those served notices included Maqsood Ahmad Tabassum, Deputy Director (Civil) Hyrdo Planning, Wapda, Sunny View, Lahore, Qaisar Mahmood and Muhammad Umar Khan, Commercial Assistants, Mepco, Saif Ullah, Meter Reader, Pashin, Quesco and other technical line staff.
