Acting Chairman Senate, in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 54 (3) of the Constitution has summoned the Senate to meet in the Parliament House, here on August 4, at 5pm. This will be the 45th session of the Senate.
The opposition parties had requisitioned the Senate session to discuss important issues including the border situation with special reference to the US-led coalition threats of launching operation in the tribal regions. The opposition also seeks debate over the wave of price hike and increase in petroleum prices and the deteriorating law and order.
