The Karachi Port handled 130,397 tonnes of cargo including 70,349 tonnes of import, 60,048 tonnes of export cargo and 2,565 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Tuesday.
The cargoes comprised of 59,038 tonnes of dry cargo including 34,508 tonnes of general cargo; 1,965 tonnes fertiliser; 14,198 tonnes of cement; 8,367 tonnes of clinker and 71,359 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. Six ships namely Cosco Karachi, Ym Inauguration, Saigon Express, St. Irene, Gulf Tiger and Adriatic Arrow sailed out to sea during the reported period. Six vessels viz Cosco Lian Yun Gang, Sinar Bintan, St. Irene, Sargodha, Orient Marguerite and Bow Cheetah are currently at the berths.
Four ships namely Cosco Lian Yun Gang, Theroula, Sinar Bintan and Bow Cheetah expected to sail on Tuesday while another five vessels viz Bunga Teratai-3, Orient Marguerite, Lalazar, Lucky Man and Bulk Arrow are expected to sail on Wednesday.
Four vessels Gulf Horizon, Apl Dalian, Ym Inauguration and Sima Sahba due to arrive on Tuesday while another nine ships namely Quetta, Hansa Liberty, Harmony, Apl Shenzhen, Cape Negro, Hyundai Admiral, Oel Transworld, Jaikur-II and Devigloryi are due to arrive on Wednesday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 81,628 tonnes including 67,869 tonnes of import 13,759 tonnes of export cargo and 1,538 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours on Tuesday.
The cargoes comprised of 43,595 tonnes of diesel oil; 5,000 tonnes of palm oil; 5,669 tonnes of iron ore; 5,282 tonnes of cement; 905 tonnes rice and 21,177 tonnes of containerised cargo. Three vessels viz CV Maersk Deva, MV Santa Fe and MT MCT Stockhom sailed out to sea on Tuesday morning while another two more ships namely MT Ice Base and MV Monique are expected to sail on the same day.
A total of seven ships namely Maersk Virginia, Dubai, Shrike, Al-Salam-II, Leopard-B, QSM Dubai and Yanaseni carrying containers, coke, diesel oil, cement and chemicals respectively are currently at the outer anchorage. Seven vessels viz CV Maersk Deva, MV Abboud-G, MV Santa Fe, MV Monique, MV Ocean Beauty, MT MCT Stockhom and MT Ice Base are currently occupying berths to load/offload cement, rice, chemicals, iron ore, palm oil and diesel oil respectively during the report period.
Six ships namely CV Maersk Virginia, CV Dubai, NT Al-Salam-II, MT Yanaseni, MV QSM Dubai and MV Leopard-B carrying containers, iron ore and chemicals are expected to take berths at Qasim International Container Terminal, Fotco Terminal, MW-1, MW-2 and MW-4 respectively on Tuesday. Three ships namely MT Geri go, MT Star Dream and MV Leonis due to arrive on Tuesday while another two more vessels viz CV Maersk Novazzano and CV ACX Dehlla are due to arrive on Wednesday.
