Investigation wing of Police, Modal Town division, have busted two gangs, who were involved in a number of criminal activities, including robbery and street crimes. Police arrested their five members and seized cash, cell phones as well as illegal weapons from them. However, the accused have confessed to 21 such incidents during preliminary interrogation.
As per details, DIG Investigation, Mushtaq Ahmed Sukhera, directed SP Investigation, Modal Town, Rai Ijaz Ahmed, to take effective measures for curbing crimes in the area and for that two special teams were constituted. The first team headed by Incharge Investigation Nishter colony, which collected the particulars of Javeed Shah alias Jeedi gang and arrested its four members on a tip-off.
The felons of the gangs used to snatch valuables from passers-by at gunpoint. The criminals are history-sheeters and nine cases have also been traced against them in various police stations of the city. The second team headed by Incharge Investigation Naseerabad arrested one member of Shakeel alias Shakeli gang. The police recovered 10 cell phones, 10 thousand of cash, four revolvers, one pistol and bullets from their possession.
A special team has been constituted for the arrest of culprits of Shakeel gang who are still at large. The criminals were identified as Imran Sajid, Ijaz Hussain, Tassavur Hussain, Shamshad Hussain and Muhammad Shakeel. Capital City Police Officer, Muhammad Pervez Rathore has announced cash prizes and commendatory certificates for the police raiding teams.
