The Environment Asia-2008 covering an international conference of environmental experts and an Expo of Environmental-friendly Technologies, Products and Services will be held here on August 19-20.
The mega event is being planned and organised by the Development Times in collaboration with Chemical Engineering Department of UET Lahore and Engineers Study Forum. Board of Investment, Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency, Industrial Information Network and Smeda would also cooperate in this regard, said Information Secretary of The Development Times here Sunday.
Over a dozen environmental experts would present their papers in the conference dedicated to the areas to arrest environmental degradation. High level of pollution in the air, water and soil is adversely effecting food and agriculture, quality of life and posting public health problems. Environmental quality awards and shields would be given to the participants to promote healthy environment.
