Pakistan Muslim League (Q) has decided to file a reference to Speaker Punjab Assembly against the PML-Q (Forward Block) legislator Raja Shaukat Aziz Bhatti from PP-4 (Gujjar Khan) for moving a resolution in the Punjab Assembly about article 58-2-b on Thursday without the consent of the party leadership.
The Punjab Assembly on Thursday passed a resolution urging the federal government to restrain President from exercising the power under Article 58-2-b of the Constitution for dissolving assemblies and imposing the Governor's Rule in the province.
Sources in the PML-Q said that opposition leader in the Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Zaheeruddin is in the process of preparing a draft of the reference and it is expected that the same may be filed to Speaker Punjab Assembly in its session on Monday.
