All arrangements have been finalised in Sialkot to celebrate the Independence Day with usual zeal and enthusiasm. Various social and cultural organisations and educational institutions were busy in giving last touch to their planned programmes.
The day will start with an especial flag hoisting ceremony under auspices of Sialkot Tehsil Municipal Administration (STMA) at Jinnah hall. Sources from different organisations and institutes informed Business Recorder that colourful programmes have been planned to celebrate the day on August 14 in Sialkot, Daska, Pasrur and Sambrial tehsils of Sialkot district.
These programmes include special prayer in the mosques for the solidarity, prosperity and unity of the country and for the early liberation of Indian held Kashmir. Small businessmen selling national flags, colourful buntings and garlands, big portraits of Quaid-i-Azam, Allama Muhammad Iqbal and other national heroes were enjoying a boom as people thronged to by these materials to decorate their houses.
