The parliamentary party of Pakistan Peoples Party met here Saturday at Chief Minister House under the chairmanship of Senior Minister Pir Mazharul Huq and held a detail discussion on obtaining situation in the country and ongoing political developments.
Addressing the meeting Leader of the House in Sindh Assembly and Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah said that PPP is an Awami party and our endeavour is that constitution is restored and institutions are strengthened and that there is no individual's rule in the country. He pointed out that our Quaid Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto sacrificed her life for the people and restoration of democracy.
Chief Minister said that Co-chairman PPP Asif Ali Zardari is taking important decisions and people of the country and particularly Sindh have fully endorsed his political initiatives. The government, he said, is taking steps in consultation with the coalition partners. The meeting was attended by 86 MPAs including two ANP MPAs while four PPP MPAs are out of the country.
