Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah on Sunday discussed matter pertaining to the banking sector, national economy and investments with President, National Bank of Pakistan (NBP), Syed Ali Raza. The NBP president called on Syed Qaim Ali Shah at the Chief Minister House here.
CM Sindh urged Syed Ali Raza to play his role for industrial development, especially to encourage investment in power sector by the private sector in interior Sindh. Syed Qaim Ali Shah apprised him that work was underway on electricity generation projects from coal, to fulfil the energy need of the country.
He said the Sindh government, particularly the Sindh Small Industries Corporation need full co-operation of NBP for promotion of small industries and cottage industries in interior Sindh so that jobless youths can get employment nearer to their residences.
The NBP president assured his full co-operation to CM Sindh for Thar coal project. Member of Thar Coal Energy Board, Syed Asad Ali Shah and President, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Karachi Division, Syed Faisal Raza Abidi were also present.
