The Federal Minister for Labour, Manpower and Overseas Pakistanis, Syed Khursheed Ahmad Shah has said that overseas Pakistanis would exercise their right of vote in the next elections.
Addressing the groundbreaking ceremony of OPF Valley Zone-V, Islamabad held on Thursday, the Minister said that the present democratic government has accepted the long pending demand of overseas Pakistanis for exercising their right of vote in election and mechanism would be evolved in the consultation with Election Commission.
He said that OPF awarded contract of development work to Frontier Workers Organisation (FWO) at a cost of Rs 2.404 billion. Under this contract FWO would complete infrastructure of water supply construction of roads and sewerage. While development work of this valley would be completed within 30 months. The scheme was delayed due to various disputes, but he took up this issue after assuming the charge as Minister and ordered its resolution.
