Allied Bank has rolled out its state-of-the-art 'e-remittance' services to facilitate international remittances sent to Pakistan by overseas Pakistanis. Speaking on the occasion, Mohammad Aftab Manzoor, CEO, Allied Bank said.
"Allied Bank has historically been a significant originator of home remittances to Pakistan, and in keeping with the vision of the State Bank of Pakistan, is forging ahead with innovative and fully scalable solutions to develop and maximise its outreach to the benefit of all Pakistanis.
We have identified several strategic partners in key overseas markets, and will provide a fully automated, end-do-end solution for non-resident Pakistanis to ensure speedy funds transfers to their families' accounts in Pakistan."
Rashid Maqsood Hamidi, Allied Bank's Head of Financial Institutions & Transaction Banking, stated: "A host of top international banks, exchange houses and funds transfer companies from across the world, including the Middle East, Europe, Asia-Pacific and North America, have been activated on this state-of-the-art platform," and added: "By implementing a fully automated, straight-through processing facility, we are in a position to activate an innovative set of remittance products."
A comprehensive suite of options is available to non-resident Pakistanis under this service, including direct credit to account, cash payment over the counter, and issuance of the 'Allied Express' cheque, a payment instrument that can be honoured across the entire Allied Bank network of branches.-PR
