The second two-day international power generation conference and showcase, Powergen Pak 2008 will be held on August 28 with a theme Power Efficiency, Up-gradation and Self-reliance in Karachi. Supported by the Ministry of Water and Power, Private Power Infrastructure Board (PPIB), Alternate Energy Development Board (AEDB) and FPCCI.
The event will provide a networking and business opportunities exclusively designed for power generation through hydro, coal, renewable, thermal, and fossil fuels etc and allied industries.
The Federal Minister for Environment, Hameedullah Jan Afridi, Managing Director, PPIB, Fayyaz Elahi and Chief Executive, AEDB Arif Alauddin, Managing Director, Enercon, Faridullah Khan in meetings with the chief organizer and CEO energy update, M Naeem Qureshi in Islamabad have assured full co-operation and technical support to the conference. Besides, experts from the Ministry, PPIB and AEDB will have presentations on different topics including current power crisis in the country.
Pakistan's premier monthly magazine 'Energy Update' is organising the two-day event that will offer an interactive conference and technology showcase; enabling local and international producers, suppliers, distributors, marketers and users to talk on latest advancements being adopted and utilised world-wide especially in Asia Pacific Region.
Further, the exhibition stages a comprehensive display of the latest technological showcases to investors and buyers involved with the production and distribution of various power generation related products.
