The President Awami Tahreek Party, Rasool Bux Palejo speaking at a event organised by Action Committee SAU Employees, Tandojam expounded on the allegation/charges framed pointed out by employees. He said that some of the problems associated with the indiscriminate use of power by Bashir Shaikh, vice chancellor.
For long Bashir Shaikh has aspired to see the leaders of Action Committee of Employees driven out of University premises to save from their agitation. Other than being in sole command of the University, this is perhaps one of his greatest desires.
Palejo further added that the innocent low paid employees are crying since last two months to take appropriate measures against corrupt V.C and his team who have been charged with misuse of authority and funds of the varsity.
He stated that the act of victimisation of labourers of University by Bashir Shaikh must be stopped forthwith and he added further that if hands of head of institutions are involved in crushing the employees as well as destroying the image of an institutions, then he has no right to stay in the said department.
The maladministrative steps adopted by Bashir Shaikh has directly resulted in the total collapse of University affairs be the academic or administration. He further disclosed that at 10-15 cases are required to be lodged against Bashir Shaikh on account of many charges proved against him for not conducting the enquiry by a team constituted earlier.
He showed his willingness regarding extending his legal services for fighting in the court of law. He further urges that government's candidates which have recently been elected on the vote of people must ensure compliance of their promises made to the people during election campaign as well as commitments made out in the party manifesto. The V.C is only implementer of policies and plans initiated by governor. The present V.C has been imposed to run an educational institution like a factory where there is no respect of students, teachers and employees.
He added that Bashir Shaikh with the undue extra ordinary support of governor is working against a renowned "Madar Alami" including education research etc, therefore the people of Sindh and government should open their eyes. He demanded that such corrupt officers not only expelled from institution but also cases should be lodged against them to be lesson for others.
