After detection of two new polio-infected cases in the area, a special three-day anti-polio drive will begin from August 19 to 21 in Killa Abdullah, Pak-Afghan bordering district, during which health workers and volunteers would go door to door to administer anti-polio drops to children below the age of five years.
This was stated by district health officer (DHO) Chaman, Dr Abdul Samad Khan Achakzai while talking to APP here on Sunday.
A total of 320 special teams had been formed who would visit door to door for giving anti-polio vaccination to the children below the age of five years, he said, adding that 70 zonal supervisors had also been appointed for the purpose.
