Dignitaries pay farewell calls on Musharraf

A number of dignitaries on Monday paid farewell calls on outgoing President Pervez Musharraf here at the Aiwan-e-Sadr. These included Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Tariq Majeed, Chief of the Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Tanvir Mahmood Ahmed, Acting Chief of Naval Staff Vice Admiral Asaf Humayun and Chairman Senate Muhammadmian Soomro.
They appreciated the role played by the President in strengthening and reviving country's economy, projecting the country at international fora and the development projects initiated and completed during his tenure. The President appreciated the co-operation, extended to him, in discharge of his duties as head of the state. Earlier, the President at a reception met the staff of the Aiwan-e-Sadr. He thanked them for their co-operation.
