Arabica coffee trading on ICE Futures US managed to hold on to modest gains in sleepy dealings early Wednesday, while cocoa lost some ground due to weakness on the charts, traders said. December was up 0.95 cent at $1.4105 per lb by 9:18 am EDT (1318 GMT), moving between $1.3985 and $1.4115.
Volume 3,038 lots by 9:20 am. Benchmark December cocoa was down $15 at $2,656 a tonne by 9:29 am, in an early range from $2,650 to $2,699. Volume 1,890 lots by 9:30 am.
