Senior labour leader Habibuddin Junaidi has said that workers class will stand shoulder to shoulder with the government and will do utmost according to the vision of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto to achieve the objective of ending poverty and give maximum relief to working class.
Speaking on Sunday at a dinner, given in his honour by Habib Bank workers at Malir, Junaidi said that owing to the backing of former prime minister Shaukat Aziz, workers of HBL were made to suffer, but now is the time for accountability of the remnants of Shaukat Aziz democratically and legally for sacking thousands of workers and throwing their families on the brink of starvation.
Junaidi said that Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir sacrificed her life for the cause of democracy. Now the working class will pay homage to her by holding trade union elections in industrial, commercial, banking organisations and financial institutions for electing genuine labour leaders who believe in democracy.
Syeda Nadira Perveen in her speech assured the workers of Habib Bank that after winning the referendum of August 28, 'Workers Front' would start efforts to resolve the problems being faced by the HBL employees.-PR
