Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) authorities, in different trap raids, have arrested three patwaris and Reader to the Special Magistrate, Punjab Horticulture Authority (PHA) while found taking gratification and sent them to jail on judicial remand.
According to an official on Friday, ACE officials, under the supervision of Special Judicial Magistrate, conducted a trap raid and arrested patwari Halqa 145 EB, Abdul Ghaffar for taking Rs 50000 bribe from Rana Khalid Farooq. In another raid, the Assistant Director, ACE Lahore Region, Muhammad Aslam arrested the Rreader to the Special Magistrate, PHA, Muhammad Hussain, when he was taking bribe of Rs 6000 from a local tutor, Shahid Mehmood for display of the banner of his tuition center.
Aslam in a second raid, arrested the patwari, Halqa Sadhoke, Javed Aslam, while he was receiving Rs 20, 000 as bribe from Muhammad Ilyas because of the transfer of land in his name. Meanwhile, the Circle Officer, ACEHQ, Tariq Maqsood Dhillon has arrested patwari, Lahore Cantt, Nazir Kareemi, who was wanted by ACE in number of cases of illegal gratification. ACE authorities, after recovering the amount of gratification, have registered cases against all the accused and sent them to jail on judicial remand.
