DSP patrolling police has said that in view of the success of the eight patrolling police check-posts already functioning in district Gujranwala, it has been decided to increase the number of check-posts to 19.
DSP Khalid Abu Bakar told newsmen that approval for 11 more check-posts in the district has been obtained, and the new posts would be established in the next few months at Qila Deedar Singh, Alipur Chattha, Chak Ramdas and other areas. He said the patrolling police had brought down highway crime and helped to ensure safe travel on the national highways.
