Industrial workers, government, semi-government department employees on Friday staged a demonstration in front of Multan Press Club as a protest against the price hike of essential commodities, increase in power tariff, withdrawal of subsidy on electricity and gas bills, levy of 16 percent sales tax and increasing the duration of power load shedding.
The demo was led by Shah Wali Rajput and Muhammad Ishaq Saqi. Some of the participants were without shirts and they put garlands of breads in their neck. They were shouting slogans against the government for increasing the inflation, price hike of essential commodities.
