Recruitment policy for educator issued

The Punjab government has issued the Recruitment Policy 2008-09 for the recruitment of as many as 34,054 educators in the Punjab education department. Under the new policy, elementary school educators, senior elementary school educators and secondary school educators will be inducted, a spokesman of the provincial government said.
Of the 15,993 elementary educators to be recruited, 9692 will be male and 6301 female. Of the 7238 senior elementary educators, 6265 will be male and 973 female, while for secondary schools, there will be 3038 male and 3211 female educators, the spokesman added. The Punjab government has already constituted a selection committee with DCO concerned as its Chairman for recruitment purpose.
