The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has further extended the date up to September 5, 2008 for online submission of sales tax and federal excise returns for the tax period July, 2008. According to a sales tax circular issued on Saturday, the last date for payment of due taxes shall remain unchanged at August 20, 2008 as extended vide sales tax circular No 05/2008.
The FBR has further clarified that no further extension for the aforesaid tax period shall be allowed. Therefore, the taxpayers are requested to avail this last extension and file the returns by September 5, 2008.
