Eid shopping has reached at its peak in Karachi. Despite high inflation last-minute shopping is expected to continue until Eid prayers. People, especially women and children, have been flocking to city markets and shopping malls, including Tariq Road Bazaar, Hyderi Market and Bahadurabad.

Colourful Eid stalls have been set up at various points, offering different kinds of cosmetics, earrings, gleaming bangles, embroidered clothes, jewellery and colourful dresses. The people belonging to all age groups are seen busy in Eid shopping which will continue till the chand raat.

Apart from the regular shops, temporary stalls have surfaced in front of most of the major markets and shopping centres, where bangles, jewellery, and embroidered stitch and unstitched clothes are being sold. The markets were thronged by thousands of people from early morning and remained filled with shoppers till late evening.

Most of the markets and shopping malls have been illuminated with colourful lights and decorated artistically to attract customers.

Everyone try to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr, one of the biggest religious festivals celebrated after Ramazan with zeal and fervor and maximum arrangements are made in this regard.
