The Lahore High Court Public Relation Officer would be given official residence within two weeks under took estate officer Umer Farooq before the Lahore High Court and court adjourned the proceedings accordingly.
Petitioner Muhammad Shahid Boota submitted that he has been working as Public Relations Officers (PRO) in the LHC for the last 17th years and performing his duties with full devotion and dedication to the entire satisfaction of the authorities.
He said in 2004 he applied to Estate Officer S&GA Department for the allotment of government accommodation. But no action was taken on his application. Later in 2007 after getting promotion to the post of deputy director public relations (BS-18) he again applied for the same but to no avail.
Petitioner said on his application the Chief Minister Punjab on September 17, 2007 had directed the authorities for the allotment of one of under construction Flats in GOR-IV on extreme compensation grounds as a special case. Petitioner stated that the authorities did not pay heed to the directive of the CM which was tantamount to mischief of service discipline.
Petitioner prayed to the court that the refusal of the respondents to implement the directive of the CM be declared to be illegal, without lawful authority, discriminatory and of no legal effect.
