Wheat futures on the Chicago Board of Trade climbed to the day's highs past midday on Wednesday, buoyed by news of US wheat sales to Egypt and short-covering, traders said. As of 12:28 pm CDT (1728 GMT), CBOT December wheat was up 12-1/4 cents at $7.79 per bushel. Kansas City Board of Trade December wheat was up 7 cents at $8.18-1/4 and Minneapolis Grain Exchange December spring wheat was up 5-3/4 cents at $8.46.
