A gemstone facet training workshop has been started in Abbottabad to train people from the gems and jewellery industry. Pakistan Gems and Jewellery Development Company (PGJDC) is organising this four-week workshop. A science graduate and an expert in lapidary is conducting the workshop which will give a comprehensive knowledge of gemstones faceting techniques, from the sequencing to finishing and polishing to the participants.
PGJDC CEO Fawad Khan said that keeping in view the demand from the industry, the PGJDC had decided to organise this four-week gemstones faceting course in Abbottabad. He said that more such training courses would be organised in other cities also in near future.
