The Punjab government has planned to hold a 'SME Business Conference' after Eidul Fitr in a bid to attract the potential investors wanted to work in the province. This was stated by CM's Task Force on SMEs Chairman Yawar Irfan Khan here on Saturday.
He said that potential investors from domestic and international markets would be invited to attend this conference in which the participants will be apprised about vision of the present provincial government to boost the SME sector and employment generation through acceleration of industrial activities.
Yawar Irfan Khan said he is in the process of consultation with stakeholders at present to prepare an incentive-laden policy for this sector. He said he had held meetings with the chambers and SMEs of Gujranwala, Sialkot, Gujrat, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Multan, and Rawalpindi. While he would be visiting Islamabad on Tuesday to finalise the programme of the moot.
Yawar said that this process of consultation had two-pronged purpose one is to get feedback from the stakeholders to prepare a report and brain storming on the industrial estates of the Punjab Small Industries Corporation (PSIC) to make them active and effective.
