The lineup of vessels waiting to load sugar in Brazilian ports rose to 47 ships this week, from 42 a week ago, shipping agent Williams said on Friday. In a report, Williams said 39 vessels were lined up in the southern port of Santos, up from 34 a week ago. In Paranagua port, there were seven ships waiting, unchanged from last week.
Santos port accounted for 80 percent of the sugar tonnage loaded in Brazilian ports, while Paranagua shipped 18 percent. The table below details the number of sugar vessels at Brazil's main ports and the volume of sugar to be loaded, in tonnes.
