The Karachi Port handled 96,046 tonnes of cargo including 68,129 tonnes of import, 27,917 tonnes of export cargo and 2,859 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Saturday.
The freights comprised of 71,548 tonnes of dry cargo including 38,404 tonnes of general cargo; 2,713 tonnes of fertiliser; 4,798 tonnes of wheat; 16,000 tonnes of coal; 9,633 tonnes of cement and 24,498 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. Four ships namely Kota Puri, Memphis, Strilen and Chemroad Sun sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Six vessels viz Harmony, Conti Harmony, Ltc Calvin P. Titus, Heung-A Pioneer, Heliea and Scorpius are currently at the berths. Three ships namely Iran Baghaei, Islamabad and Conti Harmony expected to sail on Saturday while another five vessels viz CEC Faith, Scorpius, Jia Qiang, Flag Investors and Kota Gunawan are expected to sail on Sunday.
One vessel viz Star Kappa due to arrive on Monday. Four ships namely Ym Improvement, Hyundai Emperor, Hana and Obs Swathy due to arrive on Saturday while another three ships namely Lalazar, Azelea Galaxy and Saigon Express are due to arrive on Sunday. Seven vessels viz BW Captain, Bengal Orchid, Keoyoung Prince, Sinar Dalian, H H Tide, Ocean Coral and Navision Bulker are due to arrive on Monday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 83,253 tonnes including 50,986 tonnes of import 32,267 tonnes of export cargo and 4,126 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours on Saturday.
The cargoes comprised of 3,492 tonnes of palm oil; 8,359 tonnes of wheat; 12,255 tonnes of coal; 4,259 tonnes of cement and 54,888 tonnes of containerised cargo. Three vessels viz CV Maersk Carolina, CV CMA CGM Vilie D Aquarius and MT Chemroad Luna sailed out to sea during last 24 hours while another two container ships namely CMA CGM Puget and KIA Waleed are expected to sail on Saturday afternoon. A total of nine ships namely Karolina, Sea Spirit, St. Rilen, Oram Agility, CS Summer, Hellenic Horizon, Energy Falcon, Captain Markos and Med Salvador carrying iron ore, Diesel oil, palm oil, iron ore, cement and rape seed respectively are currently at the outer anchorage.
Seven vessels viz CV CMA CGM Puget, CV KIA Waleed, MV Orient-II, MV Mustafa Bay, MV Shinyo Integrity, MT Chemroad Luna and MV Babi Tonga are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, wheat, palm oil and coal respectively during the report period.
Two ships namely MT Sea Spirit and MT CS Summer carrying diesel oil and palm oil are expected to take berths at Fotco Terminal and Multi Purpose Terminal respectively on Saturday. Two vessels viz MT Prem Pride and MV Nordiana-G with crude oil and cement due to arrive on Saturday while two more vessels viz MT Oak Galaxy and MT Qem Star with palm oil and chemicals are due to arrive on Sunday.
Seven ships namely Maersk Damietta, MI Yunne, Force Ranger, Navision Bulker, Xuchang Hai, Al-Soor-II and Toto carrying containers, wheat, rape seed, diesel oil and coal are also due to arrive.
