Pakistan People's Party (PPP) observed "Yum e Tashakur" to celebrate the victory of Asif Ali Zardari in presidential elections across the province. Different functions were organised in Punjab in which speakers highlighted the role, sacrifices and contributions of the Bhutto family and observed that PPP has done a lot for the masses.
Popular democracy is key to success for any country and PPP will make it sure that Parliament and the democratic institutions work for country and the people, speakers observed.
On the instructions of Senior Punjab Minister, Raja Riaz Ahmad sweetmeats were distributed by jail authorities among prisoners in different jails. Raja Riaz, in his message of felicitation to the nation, said that PPP will continue its mission of public service and strengthening democracy.
