The Islamabad High Court (IHC) here on Monday rejected a writ petition challenging PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari's election to the office of President. The single bench of Chief Justice Sardar Mohammad Aslam rejected the petition filed by Dr Mohammad Younus on the grounds that other candidates had accepted the results and did not raise objections over the president election.
Moreover, the process was completed according to parameters laid down by the Constitution of Pakistan, he added. During previous hearing, the same bench allowed him to argue his case once the process for the presidential election was over.
