Federal Minister for Defence Chaudhry Ahmad Mukhtar has said that our Armed Forces are fully capable to meet any eventuality and safeguard the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country. The frontiers of the country would be defended at all cost and external forces would not be allowed to violate Pakistan's sovereignty, the Minister said while talking to journalists during his visit to Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC), Kamra on Friday.
The Minister was accompanied by the Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Tanvir Mehmood Ahmed during the visit. Mukhtar said the whole nation was standing united behind the Armed Forces and would show the same spirit of sacrifices and heroism as was done in 1965 and 1971 wars.
The Minister visited various factories including Meraj and F-6 Rebuild Factories, Chinese Weaponry System and Avionics and Radar Factories. He was highly impressed by the achievements made by PAC Kamra toward strengthening the Defence Sector.
He lauded the efforts made by the engineers and technicians in developing the Defence industry of Pakistan. Earlier, on his arrival to PAC Headquarters, the Minister was received by the Chairman PAC, Kamra, Air Marshal Khalid Chaudhry. The Chairman gave a detailed presentation to the Minister about the status of ongoing projects undertaken by PAC. He also briefed the Minister about the JF-17 Thunder Aircraft Project and particularly highlighted its operational capabilities.
