The Chief Justice of Peshawar High Court (PHC) Justice Tariq Pervez Khan paid visit to Central Prison Peshawar on Saturday. According to an official release, during the visit.
The Chief Justice informed the prisoners confined in the jail in minor offences that all the Judicial Officers in the province have been directed to pay regular visits to the prisons situated within the area of their jurisdiction for disposal of their cases inside the jail, so that they get expeditious and inexpensive justice without wastage of time.
The Chief Justice also apprised about the problems being faced by the under-trial prisoners and convicts in order to initiate steps for early redressal of their genuine grievances. They were also asked to send their applications directly to the High Court in case of unnecessary delay in the disposal of their cases.
